I believe society often stereotypes people with addiction. My story reveals that the all-American girl next door can suffer from addiction and still care for her children, volunteer at schools and places of worship, hold positions of great responsibility and prestige, and thrive in the world around us. My hope is that my stories bring light to the darkness of addiction and gives hope to everyone who suffers in silence with addition that recovery is possible. It is in the recovery where new beginnings take shape and lead to a life filled with serenity and peace.
