Welcome

I’m a catalyst champion, collaborative leader, and persuasive storyteller. I’m also a mom, a Christian, and a recovering addict. I’m living proof that recovery is possible. This is my story.

Leslie Register is a seasoned real estate professional working in sales, training, operations, and executive management for over 25 years. Her passion for writing and helping people combined with her professional expertise and personal recovery story – led her to pursue a passion for writing, sharing and serving.

Register is curiously creative, intrinsically motivated, and spiritually guided. As a child, she could be found in the backyard swing making up songs or in her bedroom teaching school to dolls and stuffed toys. On Saturday nights, when she wasn’t hosting the neighborhood talent show starring herself, she was “Lois Lane” with a makeshift desk from the sofa ottoman and Tyco play phone while watching Superman on TV.

As a teenager she found God on the park swing and asked God into her heart and soul. Henceforth she spent nearly all her free time in church singing in the choir, building a food pantry, and teaching the youth.

“Family is my foundation. I’m one of the lucky ones. Through all of the messy moments –
and I mean all of them – my family has
been there. They showered me with grace, love, and forgiveness. And they taught me to show myself a little grace, love, and forgiveness along the way.”

As she entered adulthood joy filled her spirit as a mother and professional. She strategically climbed the corporate ladder with a career in real estate operations. This work included managing portfolios of over 50 communities, with revenues exceeding 220M and supervising teams up to 350 employees strong.

On all accounts her life was fulfilled, yet somewhere in the shadow lived a darkness. She felt an overwhelming amount of shame and unworthiness she attempted to heal with a collection of addictions. Food, people pleasing, shopping, working, and eventually alcohol were vices used to heal the uncomfortable anxiety.

In 2013, she humbly pushed all those vices aside and stepped into her authentic light and joy. Valuing faith, family and fun, her daily prayer of “God, decrease me and increase you so I may do your will” is a constant reminder to cherish every moment and inspiration to be of service to her community as a coach, consultant, and writer.

Register studied communications at the University of South Florida and is an accredited Certified Property Manager through the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM). She holds a Life Coach and Professional Facilitator certificate. She has delivered a variety of talks and workshop facilitations throughout her career. These include multifamily industry facilitator for certified courses NALP and CAM and company annual management conferences as well as sharing her personal recovery story in AA meetings and local treatment centers. During her career, Register also served on multiple boards. Florida Manufactured Housing Association, Bay Area Apartment Association and Urban Land Institute. In addition to her work, Leslie commits time to community efforts serving as a Score Business mentor, volunteer for Metropolitan Ministries, as well as regular service work in Alcoholics Anonymous.
