You stayed even with I strayed. You held fast when I wandered far. I met You once on a park swing— Feet toward the sky, head tilted back into sunlight— There, I cried out for You: “Come in. Save me. Restore what’s broken. Lead me on a path of righteousness and glory. Forgive my sins. Make me useful to others. Make me Yours.”
Today, I sit in a field of wildflowers. You are perched upon a rock— And I fall at Your feet. With your finger gently pressing my forehead, You anoint me with oil, And You whisper: “It is finished.” Let your past fall.
We have danced through seasons— Through storms and stillness, Through addiction and destruction, Through joy and redemption. Even in my selfishness, Even in my ruin,
You stayed. You carried me through the mess. Stood beside me in the chaos. Lifted me into new beginnings. Again and again and again.
My life has been a labyrinth— A winding way with only one true entrance and exit: You.
Every twist, every trial, was not wasted. It was meant to shape the testimony You are writing. Even the hurt— It is holy when placed in Your hands.
So today, I choose to sit at Your feet again. No more turning away. No more leaning on my own understanding. I long to walk forward, hand in hand with You— Listening, trusting, surrendering.
When the noise of life rises. When the world tugs at my heart. Pull me back.
Root me in Your Word. Let me seek Your face. Breathe in Your Spirit. And reflect on Your wonder.
Keep me from straying. Keep me from control. Let the evidence of my past rebellion
Be a sacred reminder that Your way is always better than mine. Even when Your answers aren’t what I want— Let me trust You anyway.
Teach me not to force what needs stillness. Remind me that when I felt far, You never moved. I did.
And so today I return—To stand beside You, To walk behind You, To seek You first. I will trust. I will lean in. I will hold on. I will breathe You in. Let me believe again.
